The following field-level certifications have been benchmarked by The Sustainability Consortium and demonstrate alignment with Ethical Charter principles through on-site audits. ECIP is designed to complement, not replace, existing certifications by providing additional support and resources to help improve labor management systems. If a growing operation holds one of the following 16 approved certifications, they receive free access to ECIP and earn a gold star, which is the highest form of engagement.
To receive free access to Grower LAB, email a copy of a valid certificate from an approved program to support@ethicalcharterprogram.org. Once validated, the grower will receive free access and a gold star. At this point, the assessment will become optional in the system. Confirm with the supplier who invited the grower to participate in ECIP whether they expect the operation to complete the full assessment to earn additional green stars alongside the gold certification star. Participation in ECIP provides suppliers with valuable data on labor practices in their supply chain.
