More than 75 growers, suppliers and retailers gathered on July 15 for a first look at Engagement 3.0, the newest Engagement Cycle in ECIP, held during the 2026 Organic Produce Summit. The ECIP team walked attendees through what’s new in the release, while buyers from Costco and Sam’s Club shared remarks on the importance of staying engaged with the program and practicing continuous improvement though yearly Engagement Cycles.
Building on the momentum of Engagement 2.0, this Engagement Cycle brings a stronger focus on practical steps like action planning and documenting progress over time. As Engagement 3.0 rolls out, staying up to date on the new thresholds is essential to staying meeting retailer expectations.Â
Sponsored by Rainier Fruit Company, the event took place at a bright, airy coffee shop in Monterey, where attendees gathered over locally sourced charcuterie and handcrafted beverages. It was a chance for growers, suppliers, industry partners and retailers to connect as well as get a firsthand look at what’s ahead for the program.Â
Engagement 3.0 officially launched on July 22. For more information, review these links:Â
